Yes, when we still had our male lion BB in the house, (the one you now see on REXANO youtubes, too big for sofa now),he loved nature movies, but especially reacted to male lions sounds on TV, but to other animals too, including Duma movie. It is funny to watch them first time, they go behind TV to find the 'animal', I have pics 'somewhere'.
2 nights ago, we watched documentary movie about Red wolves and one of our wolf dogs watched with us and she was smitten with one nice wolf male on TV.

lol. our cats are too lazy to think about whats on tv but our dog goes crazy whenever she hears knocking, dog barks, or a doorbell on tv. its funny.

=0 you actually let a lion in the house. i figured they would tear stuff up if let in a house. even if it wasnt on purpose those claws look like they could do damage.

im new to the big cat world so sorry if i ask some obvious or dumb questions.

My animals rarely react to sounds on the TV, but an occasional doorbell will sound real to them.

Lions are lazy, he never broke anything, we have a 7 moth old cougar in the house now, Coogie, and she is nuts, smaller cats are more active and jumpy, big cats are lazy, i like lazy. But he always had outdoor cage and dogs to play with, aka 4 legged friends, to get rid of his cub energy.

One on the left is dog Doberman with young male lion, who, like baby cougars have spots which fade with age. The right pic shows the same lion, little older, with mane growing. It is the same lion that you can see in the lion vs. Santa video,

or feeding frenzy:

and grooming frenzy:

he is still growing, he will be a big boy when full grown

We could probably still bring the lion Bam Bam' in the house, he would just want to sleep on sofa, but he might break it now, so he is an outside cat now. Dogs, we have are working breed dogs, Dobermans and wolf dogs, and dogs when they play with stuffed animals or rubber toys, they just shred them in less than 5 minutes. Big cats on the other hand will hug and mouth the toy, but they never ever destroyd any toys I gave them. Look at this short video of baby tiger wrestling with stuffed bear:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COWDbjdFz9I

This stuffed bear I had for many years, I had one orange, one white tiger and lion play with it, and the bear is still in intact shape. I had similar toy, it was white tiger stuffed toy, same thing, 3 big cat cubs played with it, all was good, then one day I forgot to hide it form dogs and they shredded the stuffed tiger neck in 1 minute. So big cats do damage thru their size, not any different than bull or horse would, they are big and heavy.
Below is LIFE magazine cover from August 2005. LIFE approached group I was involved it back then needing big cat for cover and I suggested my friends www.fercos.com they live here in NV like I do.(I already had my own cats and facility when I met FERCOS, who too have their own cats and facility, but I love their cats as mine).
Fercos' lion 'Sinbad' is sitting on breakfast kitchen table, he didn’t do any shredding or biting, but after photo session was over we noticed some cracked wood on the table, he is a heavy lion.
See second pic with me taken in between photo session, lion was just sleeping, no interest in shredding the house.
But this is trained lion in magic shows, when you get these big cats, just like venomous reptiles, you need to know what you are doing and you need to do it right every time, always be on alert, consistent training, etc…
Fercos might make it look easy on stage, but being involved with them by learning training from them for many years, I see first hand how much work goes into training the cats to be able to do what they do, great show, can bring them in the house if necessary for mag covers, etc….
Here is their big cats home video:
