I wouldn't recommend putting the millipedes in with your crested. Millipedes naturally carry mites for cleaning and such. Those mites would then affect your crested and might even kill it. You can however get the millipedes at reptile shows, or at many pet stores. Check them out, although I would recommend putting in a different aquarium or a kritter keeper.

i read on the crested gecko forum on RZ that they are helpful in a crested gecko cage. they eat any waste products, dead bugs, ect. from everything i have read they are fine to keep with crested geckos. and if they are not i still want to get one because i think they are awesome Very Happy i would keep it in a different cage if i found out they are not okay to keep with the gecko. do you know if they are legal in Maryland?

thanks

Zeke, not sure who told you that. Millipedes eat veggies, not dead bugs.
They love salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc...
However if disturbed they produce this liquid that may be irritating to the gecko. I don't know for sure if it would affect your gecko in any way but, I honestly wouldn't put them together. If nothing else they will make his cage messy. They much prefer if the veggies are starting to rot (not moldy, just soft) Other than that the millipedes are awesome pets. I have crested gecko too; I don't keep my millipede in his cage though.
BTW some people on RZ are just plain crazy....
