See how all these AR quickly go from tigers to all exotics, and trust me, it is easier to just ban cats at first and then it makes it very easy to add more species later on, divided we fall, that is why snake people need to fight with cat people, etc…

Keeping exotic pets is dangerous and inhumane

Letter

Tuesday, January 08, 2008

Regarding your Sunday feature, the sale and ownership of exotic animals should be prohibited, not only because of their threat to public health and safety, but also for the sake of animal welfare.

There is no doubt that exotic animals suffer in captivity. They have evolved to thrive in specific natural environments, not to languish in cages or glass tanks in someone's basement.

The argument that cats and dogs are more problematic than exotics proves the opposite point.

If society can't deal with animals that have been domesticated for more than 10,000 years, what hope is there that we can safely and humanely keep far more complex exotic species?

If exotic pets become common, so will their suffering, abandonment and threat to the public.
