Does anyone know anything about this organization? Here is their website:

That above link goes right to their position on exotic animal ownership, which I agree on.

I've been thinking for a while that since we have such a disorganized patchwork of laws governing pet ownership, perhaps it would be a good idea to link up with other organizations and organize behind the scenes to propose federal regulations on pet ownership that supersede the states, grant responsible people access to exotics across the country instead of just in some places, establish laws that don't conflict with each other and are easy to understand (last time I checked, a pittbull or ferret in California was the same as a pittbull or ferret in Delaware, yet in CA those animals are banned and in DE they're completely unregulated), and provide for clear educational and experience guidelines to help people know what pet is right for them and how to care for it. In particular there's a here's a huge lack of education due to so many conflicting numbers, caresheets, and so on (a new AR fad seems to be to put out bogus reptile caresheets).

Any thoughts on the NAIA and an organized federal approach to pet laws?
