I picked them up locally from someone off of Craigslist, paid less for the pair then what Im seeing single adults listed for on k.com. Im hoping its a pair, the bigger one is definitely a female and the little one could go either way at this point. Still a bit small to sex accurately. *Fingers crossed its a male* _________________ ~Anja Buffalo

I found a big yellow foot last year I wanted but didn't have the cash since then I've been keeping an eye out.
They are really nice looking torts. Hopefully you have a pair and get loads of little foots. LOL _________________ My collection...

OK these two are all setup, only thing left to do is cut a piece of showerboard to cover 2/3 of the setup. It has a small piece of shelving over it right now to make a dark area. The dark end is covered in wet long strand sphagnum moss. The base of the enclosure is sand/cypress mulch with 2 bricks of bed a beast on top of that. The *sunny* end has a large area of oyster shell over the bed a beast. I am using a regular household fluorescent bulb in the lamp over this end and it is aimed towards the end of the tank so its not shining back on the dark end. The big girl has been grazing on the oyster shell so she must be lacking in calcium. They seem to like the setup I think. This is a 4foot/50 gallon polystyrene stock tank.
I can fit.....really I can!
And I just checked on them and they are all settled in and what not...lol

Awww...loved the pics. My first red foot was "Stu", bought him from a private owner, used to running the house so that's what I did but had hotspots and a rubbermaid stock tank for cold times. Bought "Lucy" from a dealer. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Stu started head bobbing and clucking, poor girl didn't stand a chance. Used A.C. Highfield book for info, eggs hatched. One clutch, I had given up on a particular egg. Saw a still moving embryo/well formed tortoise so used 'plumbers ' tape to re- attach the egg shell and wait til it was ready on it's own time. Hatched perfectly after a couple weeks of being peeked at and rewrapped. Red foot Stu had more personality than any other tortoise I've ever known, even chased cats

The bin is a 50 gallon Polystyrene livestock watering tank. I picked it up at my local feed store. If you notice the lip just below the top you could easily put a lid on it by cutting plexiglass out to fit. _________________ ~Anja Buffalo
