|
|
Well I picked up my lumber to get started on my outside pens this past week so Dan and I took most of today to work on them. I still need to pick up a few more 2x12s to finish the last group of pens but we completed two today and I got a ton of seeds broadcast plus the Redfoots and the Hermanns got to take a test drive of their pens for the day.
Getting started....Redfoots will have the largest pen in the middle, which will get the most shade. There is a small bush that leans across the ground and runs for about 5ft that will make some nice shade for them once it fills out this year. The back half of all of the pens will be covered by the canopy once the leaves are back on the trees as well.
The Redfoot three taking it all in when I set them down in the pen.
And away they go lol
You can see the bush I was talking about in this pic

Hawthorne getting in some rock climbing
Every feel like your being followed? lol
Eli found some small bits to munch on
After transplanting weeds from other parts of the yard
Redfoots again
Hope you enjoy, I cant wait to do some more planting and see how things look once everything starts coming up. ;D _________________ ~Anja Buffalo

| Love the pics! Saw them on your myspace bulletin and can' t resist anything that says tortoise in it. Just bought a new place recently and has some awesome area for boxes if I close it in right. Do you ever have any problem with digging? The pens I had pre-divorce were of concrete block layers and put about 6 inches down but would rather not have to do that again.
