Here's a few updated pics of my male Mangrove Snake. I know these have been highly anticipated by a few so here they are.

Thanks Eric. He's probably around 5', that's just an approximation though. _________________ Dylan Lutz

Hey,
I was watching Al cortz (viper keeper) on youtube and saw his technique for getting snakes to eat mice. He attached a pinkie to the back end of an anole so when the snake eats the anole it starts to get the taste of the pink.

It's so nice to see a larger animal. The mangroves I've seen imported lately are all tiny, scrawny looking things. I really haven't had a lot of problem getting mangroves to eat mice, at least once they're parasite free - which can be rough when dealing with fresh imports. I recently lost my big female. She was around seven foot long, eating the largest jumbo rats I could give her, and close to twenty years old. Here's a crappy shot of her chilling in an empty amazon tree boa cage while I cleaned her cage.

Wow you had a beautiful Mang and she was a monster at 7 feet! At least she lived a nice long life though.
As for the feeding I have treated him for parasites with both Flagyl and Panacur but still haven't had any luck with live or scented f/t rodents. All he seems to like is live geckos, although I haven't tried chicks yet. _________________ Dylan Lutz

Wow that's a beautiful collection you have there man! I'd like to hear those tips you have on getting Mangs to eat if you wouldn't mind PMing me. I force fed mine a few fuzzy legs and a fuzzy head on Sunday, but that's the first rodent food he's ever eaten. I took a video of it that I'll be posting when I get a chance. _________________ Dylan Lutz
