Well I got a great deal on a Puff yesterday. I typically don't like puffs but the colors on this guy got me hooked. I wish I would have gotten the other pair but didn't work out that way. Here's a few pics.

Thanks She is a sweet little thing with a bad attitude true to their reputation. _________________ My collection...

Awesome addition Eric! I think puffs are very underrated snakes that are often overlooked because theyre so common. _________________ Dylan Lutz

Thanks Dylan long time since I heard from you. How are you?
I think the main reason people stay away from the puff adders is the over all demeanor of the snake. They are seriously unpredictable and aggressive. Let's not forget about the highly toxic venom. They are just not appealing to most people. I also noticed alot of the babies at the shows are not all that nice looking.
Just my opinon.

I've been doing good, just swamped with schoolwork. I apologize for not keeping in touch more often, I'll try to make an effort to do so.
And I agree about the attitude problem that I've heard a lot about but that doesn't keep people from keeping cobras, mambas, and such, which are also known to have bad attitudes. These snakes seem to be in high enough demand. Personally, I think puffs have some beautiful coloration on them. _________________ Dylan Lutz

It's in the Bitis Family. I'm not really planning ok keeping it just got a good deal. I was more interested in helping this kid get rid of it. _________________ My collection...

it is a beautiful snake, and a female at that...why not try to get a male and turn it into a little something? _________________ 1.1 ribbon snakes

Gotta consider that Puffs have the largest litters of any other snake species on the planet. Record being 145 babies in one litter! 20-30 can be expected in the first litter. Having 20-30 baby death machines aren't something you wanna keep yourself, and are difficult to sell which, along with their aggro attitudinal problems and cytotoxic venom, drive their prices down incredibly. 1 litter a year should be able to supply the demand of the entire US. Maybe then the prices will go up to a reasonable level.
Have fun with her! Definitely one of the most agile large vipers, at any age.

Josh I think you covered it. I wasn't aware they had so many neos in one clutch that is amazing all things considered. _________________ My collection...
